My photography studio in Balaclava is where I capture images of food, beverages, products and editorials. Food photography is about capturing an image that portrays a desirable, mouth-watering, appealing and appetizing final dish or product. It is about showing your product in its best light, highlighting its key selling points as well as making it look delicious.
I work with many clients to produce images for all of the above needs, from recipe books to cook books, and from branding imagery to e-Commerce product shots.
There's an extensive list of food photography surfaces and props such as linens, utensils, plates that can be rented out for a shoot. All these elements play a role in enhancing the visual appeal and adding context of the image.

Mouthwatering food photos, inviting interior shots, candid moments. That’s how you win your customers over. Let’s make the magic happen.
This kind of shoot consist of:
- Taking photos of the menu items to showcase the colour, the texture and the presentation of the food. Many angles can be involved - close up detail shots, overhead photos, spread photos, you name it.
- Interior photography. Wide venue shots and close up of interior details to show the customers the ambiance, decor and atmosphere.
- Behind the scenes shots. These shots are great to highlight what the speciality of the restaurant is. Do you make fresh pasta? Let’s take photos of the process and show it to the customer. Have a great selection of tailored cocktails? Action shots of the bartender making a drink will do the job.
- Lifestyle shots. That means candid shots of people enjoying their meal, staff interacting with customers. In this case we ask for help from a few friends to come for a couple of hours and be there for a photo. This way we can take a range of photos focusing on the lifestyle aspect.
Lifestyle Photography
Lifestyle food photography focuses on evoking emotions. These photos feature either only hands or people enjoying the meal together. We arrange a scene inside the house around the dinner table or a sofa or outside arranging a picnic or a bbq. Options are unlimited, depending on what’s best suited for your brand.
We can help you arrange models either through an agency or we can engage someone who you know such as a friend or a family member if they’re in your target demographic and of course are willing to help out.
